Choose a location where the tracker is unlikely to be damaged or knocked off during normal operation.

Use acetone-based cleaner to remove oil, grease, and dirt from the mounting location.

Wipe down the area with an absorbent rag or towel.

Using self-tapping mounting screws (supplied):

You can use the provided screws to mount the tracker on steel up to 1/8 inch thick. For thicker steel, use machine screws, magnets, or VHB tape.

Place the tracker in the desired location. Using a Phillips Pan Head driver, screw the stainless steel self-tapping screws through the mounting holes into the asset. Ensure each screw is seated securely.

⚠ Do not overtighten — this will crack the base. Keep both sides equal in tightness.

It is important not to mount the device's Antenna against metal. If the Antenna is mounted against metal, this will block the ability to find the satellite. This will create inaccurate device location and the information being reported.

BeSol+ needs to be mounted with the solar panel facing up. It must be in direct view of the sky.

Mounting the devices with GPS directed towards the sky will give the best results. Covered GPS may bounce and be inaccurate.

GPS pointing to the sky + antenna away from metal + asset in an outdoor location = correct installation with best data. We recommend using BeSol+ for outdoor asset management. Hiding or covering the tracker will likely result in poor network coverage and an invalid GPS fix.
